Respirology Update is an educational program designed to support primary care practitioners and allied healthcare professionals in improving the management and outcomes of patients with respiratory conditions. This event, featuring Mississauga Lung Health Centre specialists, is designed to be highly practical, engaging and needs-driven.
2019 Learning Objectives:
- Review pertinent diagnostic criteria for respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD, chronic cough, and ILD.
- Outline evidence-based pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic therapies for these conditions.
- Develop personalized approach to selecting inhaler therapy for patients with respiratory disease.
- Identify indications for, and appropriate timing of, referral to a Respirologist for patients with uncontrolled respiratory disease.
This Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Ontario Chapter for up to 3.75 Mainpro+ credits.
